Thracian Cliffs has been ranked 18th in the World’s Top 100 X-Factor Courses by Chris Bertram, Top 100 Courses & Resorts Editor for Golf World and Today’s Golfer, and his expert panel.

Created for thrill seekers, the global ranking celebrates the game’s most beautiful and dramatic locations – courses defined by breathtaking settings, heroic carries, tournament pedigree and moments that keep the camera constantly in action.

This latest recognition follows Thracian Cliffs’ 3rd place in Golf World’s Top 100 X-Factor Courses in Continental Europe in 2022. That ranking highlighted Europe’s most desirable courses based on their setting, dramatic holes, tournament history, overall appearance and conditioning.

Writing about the course at the time, Chris Bertram described it as “a sensational canvas for a golf course” and “simply breathtaking”, praising the scale of its cliff-edge setting and the natural drama of its holes.

Designed by Gary Player and sculpted into the coastal cliffs above the sea, Thracian Cliffs offers sea views from every hole, striking elevation changes and a succession of bold shots shaped by the natural landscape. Its tournament history includes the 2013 Volvo World Match Play Championship, won by Graeme McDowell.
